Church History

March 16, 1979 -I’m A Part Missionary Baptist Church was founded and organized by Apostle Lance Tripplett of Memphis, TN with a bible study group of 6 people at South 18th Street and VanBuren in West Memphis, AR. Those in attendance were Mothers Betty Murphy, Mary Johnson, Amanda Stringfellow, Gracie Brown, and Mary Williams. Under the leadership of Apostle Lance Tripplett, IAP moved to 717 South 11th St, West Memphis until his resignation 3 1/2 years later.

1985 – IAP moved to New Hope M.B. Church on South 14th St. under the leadership of Rev. D.K. Rodgers until his resignation due to illness.

1989 – Rev. Leroy Turner became pastor and IAP moved to L.H. Polk in Marion, AR on January 3. 1993. Rev. Leroy Turner, Sr. resigned May, 2003 after 14 years of leadership.

September, 7, 2003 – After fasting, praying, and seeking God for our next leader, God sent us our current pastor, Rev. Arlen K. Parham of Forrest City, AR. On January 16, 2005, under the leadership of Pastor Parham, we burned the mortgage of the church in Marion Arkansas and God moved IAP to 600 Vanderbilt Ave, West Memphis, AR where the church currently resides.
