Pastor Arlen K. Parham, born in Bearden, AR, is the son of the late Pastor Arlen Ray Parham and beloved Gladysteen Parham. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in General Studies from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff and a Master of Divinity in Chaplaincy from Liberty University. A dedicated member of the Arkansas National Guard, Pastor Parham serves as a Military Chaplain and is a veteran of Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom. He has also led as Senior Chaplain with the Arkansas Department of Correction.
In March 1999, Pastor Parham answered his divine call at Rising Sun M.B.C. in Forrest City, AR. God then directed him to lead at I’m A Part Missionary Baptist Church starting September 2003. Known affectionately as “The Acronym King,” he uniquely concludes nearly every sermon with an inspiring acronym, reinforcing his passion to help his congregation reach new heights in Christ.
In May 2025, he earned a Doctor of Ministry in Chaplaincy from Liberty University. His leadership extends beyond the church:
Serves as Convenor for the AARP Action Network’s Age-Friendly Communities in partnership with West Memphis, AR.
Received a resolution from the City of West Memphis, signed by Mayor Marco McClendon, honoring his ministry work.
Sis. Paula Parham was born in Pine Bluff, AR to the late Mack Patillo and Julia Mae Patillo. She graduated from East Arkansas Community College in Forrest City in 2002. She is currently a Preschool Teacher in Forrest City AR. Sis Parham has received a bachelor’s degree from Arkansas State University, a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education, and a Specialist degree in Educational Leadership. Sis Parham is a loving companion as well as supporter of Pastor Parham and the ministry of IAP.
God Blessed Pastor Parham and First Lady Parham to unite in Holy Matrimony on July 8, 1995 in Pine Bluff, AR. God blessed them with four beautiful children Raymond, Leslie (Kamisha), Kenesha, and MacKenzie. They also have five grandchildren.
